Redbourn Golf Club
We built the driving range, laid the targets and installed the radar setup. The club now features it on their own website as their Trackman driving range.
The range is one of the few parts of a club in use in almost any weather, and one of the few that brings in money directly. Built well, and fitted with the technology players now look for, it pays its way and keeps them coming back.
TALK ABOUT YOUR RANGEA tired range underdelivers on both fronts. Uneven ground, worn matting and tired target greens make for a poor practice session, and a basic range gives a player no reason to choose your club over the next one down the road.
Players now expect more. Ball-tracking and shot data have gone from novelty to normal, and a range that offers them draws practice traffic, casual visitors and lessons in a way an empty field never will. The question for most clubs is not whether to improve the range, but how to build it so it lasts and so it earns.
We build ranges from the ground up. That starts with the ground itself, levelling and reshaping it so the range sits right and drains properly, which is exactly the groundworks our construction background was built on.
From there we build the targets and lay them out at the proper distances, in coloured synthetic turf so they read clearly from the tee. And we put in the groundworks for the technology: the ducting, the mounts and the radar units for ball-tracking systems such as Trackman, installed to the system's specification and ready to run.
Ball-tracking systems like Trackman read every shot, the speed, the carry, the distance, and feed it back to the player. It is what turns a range from somewhere to hit balls into somewhere to practise properly, and it is a genuine draw for members and visitors alike.
We prepare the range for it as part of the build, so the technology is not an afterthought bolted on later. The ducting runs where it should, the radars sit where they need to, and the range is ready to deliver the data the moment it opens.
Whether it is a new range or an upgrade to an existing one, tell us what you want it to do and we will tell you how we would build it. No obligation either way.
